Neurometrix™
is a device which allows our doctors to test the motor function
of the nerves in the legs and feet. It helps to identify the
deficit in nerve response and to determine the exact levels.
This test measures sensory nerve function.
These are a series of all non-invasive diagnostic tests used
to determine circulation in the lower extremities. By studying
the blood flow to the feet, our doctors can quantify the blood
and oxygen perfusion that reaches the leg, foot and toes.
This test is of particular value in diabetic patients who
experience a restricted circulation that makes wound healing
difficult and puts them in danger of developing gangrene and
needing amputation.
This device uses ultrasound to visually "inspect"
the venous system of a patient. Our doctors can follow veins
down a patient's leg and visualize the restrictions or free
flow of blood within the leg. They can measure the location
and amount of blockage and determine the most appropriate
treatment modality.
TEKSCAN ™
is a device used by our doctors to evaluate and measure how
patients stand and walk. The instrument measures the precise
pressure points on the feet and gives our doctors a thorough
understanding of the stress that our patients' feet are under
in their normal walking. By evaluating the biomechanics of
the foot while bearing weight, our doctors can better serve
their patients in orthotic designs, foot wear or with
treatment modalities.
This is a device used to detect musculoskeletal defects and
wound depth.
